Defending Brazilian Forest Code 

Seven years ago, Federal Law 12651/12, known as the Forest Code, was approved.


It defines the rules for agricultural production and the conservation of forests.


Now, a series of bills being voted in Congress puts the bill in question, such as Provisional Measure 867 and Bill 2362.


Dismantling the Forest Code is not in the interest of the Brazilian Coalition on Climate, Forests and Agriculture, a movement that brings together almost 200 representatives of agribusiness, the environment, the financial sector and academia.
