The task force was established in 2023, replacing another group exclusively dedicated to technical assistance and rural extension (ATER), and now discusses how to overcome the challenges of family farming and food security.

Broadening the scope of the TF stemmed from the need to follow up on the implementation of proposals presented by the Coalition to governments and parliamentarians elected in 2022. Among the Coalition’s contributions related to the task force’s work include the launch of a National Pact for Healthy and Biodiverse Food, the promotion of family farming, and the strengthening of climate risk management for food security.

Moreover, the TF members will map organizations working directly with the family agriculture and food security agenda, that will be invited to contribute to the debate.
