Brazilian Coalition’s initiative to create these proposals represents a nonpartisan action of the main actors of the climate, forests and agriculture agenda who are interested in fostering the development of a low carbon economy in the country. All 28 proposals are feasible to implement in a four-year mandate and can help start the land-use revolution that Brazil needs. This revolution involves consolidating the country as an international leader in a new economy, in which agricultural production and environmental preservation can move alongside.

Besides joining production and preservation, proper land use is a path for a Brazil of opportunities. Agriculture and forests are connected to an extensive value chain that creates rural and urban jobs. Brazil needs more and better jobs that generate prosperity with sustainability.
