The Restoration Task Force divided its work into several fronts, such as collecting data on restoration of forests and landscapes in Brazil, amplifying the communication on the subject and training multipliers, through dialogue with partner organizations.
Established in 2021, following the merger of three working groups, the TF launched the Observatory of Restoration and Reforestation, a platform that gathers information from rural areas with satellite data to draw a overview of the restoration and reforestation of all Brazilian biomes.
The task force also engages in projects and partnerships that gather information around the potential for job and income generation from the restoration chain, and has signed a study on the criteria for reporting restoration in the country. In 2021, it also attended the launch of the UN Decade of Restoration.
